Your family's health and saftey are our top priorities. These are the measures our office is taking. (Our pediatric colleagues in our building are following the same protocols).https://www.purecarepharmacy.com/covid-testsWe are screening all patients by phone before scheduling an appointment to determine what precautions need to be taken. If a patient is suspected of having COVID19 symptoms they will be seen in their car at the front of the building. In addition we are shifting our well patients and newborns to the morning to separate from our sick patients.
- We are scheduling telemed visits for symptoms that can be diagnosed through video/audio. For these visits, make sure you are connected to your wi-fi and your video and audio are enabled.
- Our schedule has been modified to staggered patient visits of 3 or less per hour.
- Enforced physical distancing during check in/out, waiting room, halls, and as much as possible in exam rooms.
- No touch temperature check and screening before all visits.
- Disinfecting each exam room between patients.
- Toys, books and magazines have been removed.
- Frequent disinfectant cleaning of high touch areas.
- When possible we prefer one caregiver and one child for all visits.
- Everyone over 2 years old must wear a nonvented mask for the entire time they are in the office or seen in their car. For children under the age of 2 who won't wear a mask, please have them in their stroller and covered so they are protected.
- If any person (caregivers included) who have been exposed to COVID19 or exhibits any symptoms, please do not enter our building and call our office prior to your appointment.
Our office hours will expand as volume demands. Dr Dailey and Mills are available after hours for patient calls for a fee of $40 minimum (waived when appropriate for calls before 5PM). This does not apply to pharmacy, hospital or physician calls.
Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe. (Refusal by caregiver to wear a mask will result in termination from the practice.)
School and COVID19
Many parents have expressed concern about sending their children to school, preschool and daycare and have asked for our advice. Below is the link for the AAP statement. For school age children, we recommend following our state and legal guidelines. They are basing their decisions on the data for our region and the science data that we have to date.
For preschool when it's optional the primary consideration is socialization. All toddlers need to have weekly opportinities to socialize with other children, the "work" of this age is to play. If preschool is the only safe way to provide this for your child then we recommend sending your child.
For parents who need to go back to work, daycare is a necessary facility and parents should ensure the facility is strictly following the guidelines.
Regarding choosing distance learning vs in school learning, parents will need to choose the educational experience that is best for their child and family. For the majority of children, in school learning is best.
